Well now! I travel in to the past several times a week, always remembering something that changed my life or impacted me in some way. Any changes have been gradual, and mainly due to the efforts of my wife as she molded me into the fellow she wanted....Ho Ho Ho...

Anyway, below are several links that may be of interest to you too. Just click on the links or the banners and enjoy....

If you are interested in maintaining or starting a 45 RPM record collection this site has proven to me over and over that they have the hardest to find records and in great condition..

I live through the music we experienced. The songs bring out those memories of a fantastic time in my life. I spent my senior year going steady with my first real love Kaye Jewell. Funny how we forget about all those other times they called it `puppy love´. We remember a special girl friend (or boyfriend) we once had and associate the music with those times.

I can remember talking for hours with that `special someone´ and playing a particular song over and over in the background. Sitting in the back seat with the windows all fogged up with the music setting the mood. The soft hair the sweet smell of the perfume. The lipstick taste that wasn´t permanent and always showed up on your collar. Lipstick On Your Collar always gave it away.

The innocence of the time makes those memories so much sweeter to remember. We all had the simple things on our mind. Planning the next date, what to wear, begging mom and dad for the car. Double dating. A chocolate shake and French fries. Running to the next class just to be able to hold hands for a few seconds between classes. Carrying books. Standing proud by the side of that `special someone´.

For a full semester I remember getting up extra early so that I could walk to that `special someone’s house´ and ride the bus to school with her. Even taking the same bus home with her only to walk that extra mile to my house. I wasn´t the only one either. Probably every other guy in the school did the same thing, just for a few more minutes with the one we were dating.

No one could convince us, it was just puppy love. We all knew better and there are still many of us that remember those times, with that `special someone´. Although we have matured, found someone new and have been working just as hard at marriage, those times structured our lives to where we are today. We can thank the era, the music, the innocence of the time for so much. We are all very lucky to have such fond memories.

Now if you pigged out on candy and have never been able to find the ‘stuff’ we spent our pennies and nickels on, try out this site for candy the way it was. Not a penny, nickel or dime anymore but its worth a weeks paycheck for a trip down memory lane for the taste buds.

Jon Provost’s web site is truly unique. I just happened onto it one day and spent some time browsing. Well worth a visit down memory lane for you Jon Provost and Lassie fans, Lots of nice old tales.

Great selection of old time videos, made to order, some very interesting moments captured on film and now preserved for you to rehash since you were probably there when they were first shown on the telly.

The above banner will take you to a site that has a little bit of everything going back to the early daze. Looks like it is set up as a store selling off many one-of-a-kind memorabilia, Not too far fetched price wise. Keep in mind that these links are ones I find while browsing. I am not on any affiliate program or do I get any compensation for passing on the links. Just thought I would share them with you.

Now here is a great site called The Detroit Kid-Show, looks like it is just getting underway. It has some interesting info on Milky the Clown and other shows we grew up with in the early days of TV. I am looking for an old foto of Gee Whizzer, that little puppet has lodged itself in my memory banks and I just want to see what he looks like one more time.

Thanks to Ed Golick for the fotos and the links.

There is even a video tape available
That little guy, Gee Whizzer was born on June 3rd, 1947 just three years after I was in Detroit, Michigan. Only a fifteen minute program but it was great and I remember it even looking like it was in color although it wasn’t just my imagination adding life to the the people.

Applesauce! Yup! Applesauce.
There is a video show available just $20.00 but a great treat for the grand kids.
