Thanks to Jann I have a bunch of new links that may be of interest to other Polio Survivors or family members dealing with the down side of family member with physical disabilities.
Since I have always been on this side of the fence I have never thought of having Polio as a disability or physically challenged or crippled as we were once called. I never looked at myself as different or as I noted others were trying to paint me.
I have discovered that as time passes by ‘others’ need to have more information to understand some of the obstacles we deal with, not just me but anyone that is a little different in some way.
Jann Hartman has sent me several links that I am posting here, hopefully they will be of help and you can browse from there and find more specific information that may fit your particular search. Just like a freight train this informationn should take you where you want to go.

This link is interesting in that around the world you can see how very similar all Polio survivors are, although none of us are connected in any other way. http://www.ott.zynet.co.uk/polio/lincolnshire/directory/survivor.html
